December 29 AD

Jesus appears to have withdrawn from public life this month, sending the apostles to Soloman’s village near where he was Baptised while he himself withdrew to the cave where he was born in Bethlehem.

After which Jesus went to Soloman’s village.

Thursday, December 6. 29 AD. Valtorta  4.536. Jesus sent the apostles to Soloman’s village Jn 10 and then went to Bethlehem where he spent three days in the cave where he was born.  Zebedee’s son John followed him but stayed away from him in a nearby cave.  The shepherd witnesses of Jesus’ birth came on what was their annual visit to the site of Jesus’ birth.

Both John and the shepherds respected Jesus’ privacy as they found him in ecstasy.   John was very weak because he had fastest for two days and eventually went to Jesus who gave him food from the parcels left by the shepherds when they went on their way.

When John regained his strength he made his confession to Jesus, the confession of a good man. Among the ‘sins’ he confessed was disobedience as Jesus had asked them all to stay together.  But Jesus dismissed it because Peter had sanctioned it.  John also confessed to falling asleep when he thought he should be guarding Jesus which Jesus also dismissed.

He told John that orders have to be discerned.  He explained the difference between temptation and accomplished sin, between natural events and bodily needs that are good but not when they are intemperate, which is driven by Satan.

When Jesus sees John is somewhat recovered, they set out for Soloman’s village avoiding Jerusalem and villages. They do meet an occasional shepherd.

Jesus tells John to be a second son to his mother, to love her as a son when I am no longer there.

John asks If he is going to die to which Jesus says I have told you so many times, I must die.

Manean meets them and invites them to overnight with him in a hotel but Jesus says he prefers to camp. Manean sets up a tent near a wood and gets straw and milk from a farmhouse.

Around a fire, Manean reports on a divided Jerusalem and says there are some false followers of Jesus trying to incite rebellion. Manean says he was criticised for throwing a rug over his sweating horse on the Sabbath.

Jesus then quotes Genesis account of creation and launches into a moving speech that predates today’s eco-warriors by two thousand years.  He talks of care for creation and points out that midges are as valuable as whales, worms, or elephants.

Animals and insects are more faithful to God’s ways than men.

In a comment at this year’s end, Jesus says that he is close to the summit of his sacrifice for which he became incarnate. He says that every aspect of his life throws light on him and is useful as is every aspect of creation.

But he asks if will it change humanity: good people will respond positively and wicked people negatively at this fresh attempt to make himself known again.

He asks how many will acknowledge him saying how our hearts burned within us as he explained the scriptures to us.
