March 29 AD

Bad weather, dreadful walking conditions led to bad humours and many arguments among the south bound group which was forced to change route after being warned that Jesus enemies were waiting for them, After diverting north they again headed south to Jerusalem for the Passover where the usual hostilities were renewed. After the feast Jesus and the apostles went on a week’s retreat. He probably walked more than a hundred miles in the month.
Thursday March 1, 29 AD. Miserable weather. They stayed overnight in a cave. When Judas is rude Jesus reveals that this particular cave was much better than the one in which he did penance for him.
Judas retorts that there was no need. Jesus calmly responds that he and Judas could spend their lives doing penance for Judas and it would not be enough.
The group is shocked and they turn in for the night.
Friday, March 2 – 3, 29 AD. Valtorta 3.359. At first light, Jesus says not being understood is his first torment. Starting at dawn. They did not travel very far.
They came across a woman who appeared to be a leper and dying on the road. Only the Zealot, himself once a declared leper, dared go to her. Jesus poured water into her mouth and revived her.
She had set out to warn Jesus about his enemies and was hoping to be cured. Jesus arranged for her immediate care and told her she would be again be called the Rose of Jericho.
He sends her to Lazarus with the Zealot as an escort. When Judas decided he was unclean on account of her. Jesus said she was not a leper and ended the conversation by telling Judas he was a hypocrite.
Sunday March 4, 29 AD. Valtorta 3.360. In appalling weather the group trudged south near the ford at Beth-Aravah, Mary of Lazarus defies the raging flood on horseback to warn Jesus not to cross the Jordan as enemies were waiting for him.
Monday, March 5, 29 AD. Val 3.360. They backtrack and convince a ferryman against his better judgment to give them three boats to cross the Jordan in full spate.
Jesus calms the river. When the boats are safely back Jesus blesses and restores the river to its raging state. They head for the hills between Shiloh and Bethel.
Valtorta 3.361. Jesus talks about his future church: the most humble of its members will be its strength. It will be made from spiritual chaos with the foundations being the apostles and others will continue to build it and it will be built on the sacrifices of each of its members.
He added that the apostolic college will be continuously renewed but will be tortured by Satan and wicked men.
They will have to believe in their individual mission and that it is both holy and useful.
Jesus says that from time to time He will appoint individuals to revive revealed truth.
He talks of a Book in Heaven that only God can read but some individuals will be chosen to know the past, present and future to bring people back to the Gospel and to Christ.
They meet the wagon carrying the women. Johanna tells them that Pilate has demanded peace at the Passover and issued serious warnings to those likely to cause trouble so it is now safe for Jesus to go to Jerusalem for the feast.
Johanna indicates that Pilate’s wife and lady admirers of Jesus had influenced Pilate
.Jesus promises Margziam that he will read his journal of Jesus’ teachings.(1)
They stopped in Bethel overnight.
Tuesday, March 6. Valtorta 3.362. Thomas asks Jesus to stop over at his sisters’ house in Ramah. They are welcomed by Tom’s parents and his sister and her husband and children.
Jesus promises Tom’s father that his son has a special place in God’s heart. Jesus says a beautiful prayer for the family.
Later Jesus is shown around the garden and the vineyard. Thomas’ father promises Jesus wine for next year’s Passover. Jesus says he looks forward to it, a wine from a true Israelite, knowing full well it will be the last wine he drinks.
The crowds come and Jesus responds to the question of who is to be saved Lk 13. A man who says he keeps the law and no more, asks if he will be saved. He is told he will but that he should attain great holiness if he aspires to it. Jesus says all would be saved if they behaved with respect for themselves, others, and God.
Those whose hearts belong to Satan on which is written selfishness and whose hearts are dirty will not.
A group of Pharisees warn about Herod wanting to kill him. Jesus says so do those who fear he will supplant their priesthood. Lk 13.
Wednesday, March 7, 29. Editor: Before showing Valtorta the events of the day Jesus says to her to write about Jesus is sanctification, to repeat what he says is sanctification.
Valtorta 3.363. Jesus and apostles enter Jerusalem singing prescribed psalms. Marjiam asks Jesus to tell him a parable for John of Endor, for whom he has been keeping a record of Jesus’ teaching. Jesus promises to read them. (1)
The Apostles would prefer Jesus to make a low-key entrance to the city but Jesus says he wants to show them that he is neither afraid of them nor will he infringe the precept of attending the feast.
At the Damascus Gate they are greeted by Manean who tells him it is safe to enter. They go straight to the Temple for the rite and then go to the portico where a crowd awaits him with their sick.
He prays an elaborate version of the Our Father, cures the sick and disappears in the crowd.
March 9 – 14, 29 AD. Valtorta 3.364.In Jerusalem. Jesus and Marjiam had gone straight to his usual host Jonah who farmed olives at Gethsemane.
In his conversation with Marjiam, Jesus talks of the boy’s future priesthood. In response to questions about the less-than-holy priests, Jesus says God is always present when a priest is doing his priestly duties. He is told to always separate poor humanity from ministry.
He adds no man is completely wicked, not even Judas when the boy mentions names. Jesus asked him why he regarded Judas as a desecrator.
The boy runs away rather than answer the question. Jesus’ Mum had heard Jesus call the fleeing boy and in the subsequent conversation, she says Adam and Eve ran away when they heard the voice of God.
Jesus explains the boy had not displeased him nor had he sinned. Mary immediately identified the problem: Judas Iscariot. Jesus changes the conversation.
Shortly afterwards, a woman comes to look for Jesus’ mother. Mary had suckled her son when her milk dried up after the sudden death of her husband in Bethlehem when both their sons were born. Her son is introduced and becomes a disciple.
That evening Jesus, Simon Zealot, and Marjiam go to Bethany. As they approach it, they are told that Lazarus is in dreadful pain.
Before he enters Lazarus’s sister, Mary, tells of the pain that ismore than he can bear and will certainly die.
Jesus says let him be strong, the time of miracle has not come for him. Help him to be strong.
Martha moans, you mean he must die. Her sister complains that Lazarus cannot enjoy her resurrection to which Jesus says do you think I can only do one resurrection.
Lazarus takes up the theme when Jesus goes to his bedside. Lazarus pleads with Jesus to order him to come out and I will be cured to serve you. He shows Jesus his emaciated body, thin and yellowish.
Jesus covers the sores with linen. Lazarus is disappointed.
Lazarus invites Jesus to spend the Passover with him. Jesus agrees but in secret as the Sanhedrin considers everything he does a sin.
Letters arrive from John of Endor for Jesus and Marjiam. But they are interrupted by the arrival of Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus from Jerusalem.
They tell of Judas both defending and criticising Jesus to rabbinical disciples like a mad man.
They tell of Judas saying Jesus is too meek and, saying that he cannot get Jesus to be violent which is the only thing that works on cruel people.
The men say they do not understand Judas but Mary Magdala stands up and says she understands him better than any one -he is abomination placed close to perfection and she storms out.
The men puzzle over the failure of Gamaliel to recognise Jesus as the Messiah and Judas’ behaviour. But Jesus explains that without a spiritual atmosphere men have a dominant idea that becomes encrusted and is believed without evidence and remains forever.
Jesus says Gamaliel should have been one of the Twelve,. Jesus says Gamaliel has faith like few people in Israel and was given a glimpse of the Messiah and has remained faithful to the words of that child. (see Jesus before the doctors Valtorta Vol.1. 41. Appx April 16, 9 AD).
Jesus goes on to say they are both saturated with the Messianic idea. Judas wants me as king, an earthly powerful king. He then goes on to explain that Satan insinuates himself into those who have a special task or mission, it is easier for a common believer to be saved than it is for those with a special task or mission.
Afterwards the Sanhedrin members ask Lazarus had he noticed how depressed Jesus was. They fear he will be the subject of the most dreadful sacrilege.
Valtorta Vol 3.365. On the way back to Gethsemane, Marjiam tells how Jesus’ mother helped him to recover from the period where he lived in the wild and his depth of suffering and rejection (see Valtorta Vol. 2.191.). Marjiam advises Anastascia to call Mary by her true name Mother,
Jesus talks to Simon Zealot. They talk of sin and perfection. In reply to him Jesus tells Simon his spirituality is too stagnant, do you not know time flies, Jesus asks.
Then Jesus indicates that he has little more than a year with the apostles and unless he strives for perfection how can he resist the storm that Satan will raise against him.
Those who strive for perfection will be able to remain faithful. Simon asks if those who fail to resist will be lost and is told no, but they will be humbled. Holiness is a building each one builds himself, Wisdom teach the method and the plan. Jesus tells Simon that he will not taste next year’s crops.
Back in Gethsemene Jesus introduces Anastascia to his mother who says to her, daughters are in a mother’s heart, not at their feet, raising the kneeling girl.
Jesus is given letters from Antioch, from John of Endor and Syntheche.
After dinner, he asks his mother, some of the women and eight of the apostles, and Marjiam to go with him.
He actually goes to the rock of his future agony where reads aloud the letters from Antioch. The letter is full of thanks to Jesus and the apostles.
When Jesus skips over a passage, he is interrupted by Marjiam who insists on Jesus reading the letter in full. Peter asks Mary to make Jesus read it in full.
It is a passage where John of Endor thanks Jesus for coming to him in Antioch but is unsure whether it was a vision or a reality.
Synthyche’s letter confirms Jesus’ visit and a transfiguration of John.
Thursday, March 15, 29 AD. Jesus and apostles attend a banquet at Johanna’s palace in Jerusalem for a huge crowd comprising poor, sick, homeless, in fact all Jewish society and including Roman high ranking ladies clad in Jewish attire as disguise.
Guests cry out their appreciation of Jesus a delegation from the Antonia next door investigate it as a possible seditious meeting but go away when the see it is not.
Herod’s Salome gate crashes the event but Jesus orders out in a very definite, even harsh way.
When two people confirm Jesus enemies were looking for him Jesus moved the party to Mary Magdalen’s palace in the city. Jesus insists his Kingdom was not of this world.
Friday, March 16, 29 AD, Valtorta 3.367. On his way to the Temple Jesus is asked to prevent a girl from dedicating herself to him and in particular for rejecting a suitor. Jesus accepts the girl and pacifies her mother. Later Jesus’ enemies verbally attack him in the Temple.
Editor’s note: This is the penultimate Passover Jesus will celebrate. Valtorta’s account is packed with teachings, healings and miracles. So many in fact that I am not able to summarise them.
Sunday, March 18, 29 AD. Valtorta 3. 375 Jesus ate the Passover meal at Lazarus’ palace in Jerusalem. Lazarus has been fishing for a healing. Jesus tells him that it is God’s decree that he should suffer. Jesus says that the suffering can be given great value by offering it for the redemption of men to which Lazarus says he cannot be a redeemer.
Mary Magdalen asks if her former life was a cause of her brother’s illness. Jesus says it was. Lazarus snatched her from the demon.
He then talks of the Communion of Saints and that they can help those who are not saints and even help in material things.
They are interrupted by his friends in the Sanhedrin who tell him of a scandalous meeting in which the chief priests tried to cover up a rape and murder committed by the High priest’s son.
Jesus’ response is a truly dreadful tirade against those in charge of the Temple one that truly frightened his hearers.
March 19- 22- 23 -24, in 29 AD. Jesus leaves Jerusalem to stay at Lazarus’s place in Bethany. There are verbal skirmishes at the Temple.
Sunday, March 25,29 AD. Valtorta 3.376. At Bethany. Mary complains about Martha. Lk 10. Jesus and apostles head for Jericho , they stayed at a hamlet.
Half way between Jerusalem and Jericho lies Mt Adomin. It is not a safe place but Jesus wants to go there to pray. By now the apostles fear that the Jews will assassinate him and object strongly to his going there at night.
When the Apostle John says in an amazing way don’t go there, Jesus ask him where he should go. They all realise that John has been inspired. So does Jesus so he says we will go to a different mountain I need to be fortified. When asked if this was to be fortified against his enemies he said no against our egos.
Monday, March 26. Valtorta3.378. At dawn, Jesus and apostles go to Mr Cherith and begin a week’s retreat. Jesus says: a perfect act of concentration is all that is needed to prepare to appear before God. The way you love is what converts hearts.
To love infinitely is being one with God. We must not be satisfied to love with our minds only but we must fight against God’s enemies.
The fire of love will be greater after his passion and ascension when the love of the Father and the Son will descend to consecrate them in their ministry.
Valtorta 3.379. Apostles are reluctant to leave this peaceful place but Jesus says they can’t be only contemplative, the world awaits our teaching.
Appendix: Jesus’ blessing of Thomas’ home and family
May God in whose presence your ancestors walked, God who has nourished me since my childhood to the present day, may the angel who has delivered me from all evil, bless these children, may they be named after me and after my ancestors and may they multiply copiously upon the earth.
May the chosen virtues that dwelt in the Just Man after whom you have been named, descend upon you like butter and honey making you worthy of Heaven and be adorned like palm trees laden with with golden dates and a cedar laden with royal leaves.
Note 1. According to Valtorta, at least three people were recording Jesus’ sayings: Mathew, John of Endor, and Margziam. Gamaliel also made notes of some of Jesus’ teaching.
